The following is a list of books I own and have read. The books are broken down by category.  I hope to expand on this list both in quantity and by providing additional details on the books including recommendations:
 

Vehicles/Equipment of WW 2

The Eastern Front Armour Camouflage and Markings 1941-1945 by Stephen Zaloga and James Grandsen, ISBN 1854092139-Interesting for modeling aficionados. Lots of color plates and pictures for all combatants on the east front. Some rare vehicle pictures, captured vehicles and coverage of the Axis Minor included.

Werner Regenberg and Horst Scheibert and Werner Muller (the authors) series of Books covering Captured vehicles used by the Germans including:

These books are excellent resources to anyone interested in this area of WW 2. The books contain a number of pictures, employment, designations, use and some technical details on the vehicles themselves. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

German Heavy Reconnaissance Vehicles SdKfz 232(6) 232(6) & 263(6) by Horst Scheibert, ISBN 0887405215

Unusual Panzers Goliath, Recovery, Engineer, Minesweepers and Others by Michael Sawodny ISBN 0887406815

These are a couple of manuals detailing the technical development of some German armored vehicles. They include line drawings, numerous pictures and details about deployment, technical specifications and variants.

Armored Vehicles 1935-1945 Equipment and Armor in the Bulgarian Army by Kaloyan Matev ISBN 9549058778

Excellent book detailing the use of armor by the Bulgarians in WW 2. The book is bilingual with half the book in Bulgarian and half in english (however the english is obviously not the first language of the author and is not very accurate). Interesting for its subject matter. Includes a lot of pictures, a great deal about the history of the Bulgarian armor force, its use during WW 2 including some operational details, color plates for modeling aficionados and technical details on the vehicles used.

Russian Tanks and Armored Vehicles 1917-1945 An Illustrated Reference by Wolfgang Fleischer ISBN 0764309137

This is a very good book detailing the development of the Russian tank and armored vehicles before and after WW 2. Lots of great pictures, technical details and development history for many vehicles. Most all tanks as well as most SP guns are included. Pretty scant with regards to armored cars, though. Very good reference though.

Armour of the Pacific War by Stephen Zaloga, ISBN 0850455355. An Osprey book covering this subject.

German Armored Warfare of World War II The Unpublished Photographs 1939-1945 by Ian Baxter ISBN 1932033157. Very good pictorial coverage of German armored warfare. Includes a lot of pictures of most variants of tanks and AFV plus mortorcyles and panzergrenadiers. Very enjoyable.

Czechoslovak Armoured Fighting Vehicles, 1918-1945 by H.C. Doyle and C.K. Kliment ISBN 0852426283, Excellent resource on Czeck vehicles. Covers all variants with detailed technical specifications, pictures, operational details, etc.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

ARMIES OF WORLD WAR II

Japanese Armor in Manchuria 1931-1945 Edited by John Underwood ISBN 1585450499  USAFFE Study of Japanese Armor Operations in Manchuria covers history, topography, climate and weather, vehicle problems and effects of climate etc on the vehicles, Field experiences including both operations and maintenance, Organization and training with a list of vehicles used.

Germany's First Ally Armed Forces of the Slovak State 1939-1945 by Charles Kliment and Bretislav Nakladal, ISBN 0764305891 Excellent resource on the history of Slovakia, its armed forces and operations in WW 2. Includes information on the TO&E and OOB of its armed forces, their deployment and battles during WW 2 including the Slovak Uprising. Details on armaments used by the Slovaks are included. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The Romanian Army of World War 2 by Max Axworthy and Horia Serbanescu, ISBN 1855321696 Osprey book on the subject

Germany's Eastern Front Allies 1941-1945 by Peter Abbott and Nigel Thomas ISBN 0850454751  Osprey Book on the subject

The Hungarian Army and Its Military Leadership in World War II by Andris Kursietis, ISBN 1891227289 Book briefly discusses the development of the Hungarian Army after WW I, its entry into WW 2 and a bio on the majority of the military leaders of WW 2. Also includes a section on the Hungarian volunteers in the SS.

Axis Slovakia Hitler's Slavic Wedge, 1938-1945 by Mark Axworthy ISBN 1891227416 Incredible book detailing the operations of the Slovak Army in WW 2. Outstanding resource. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Russian Armor 1941-1943 by Eric Grove ISBN 0855242698

The Royal Hungarian Army, 1920-1945 by Leo Niehorster ISBN189122719X Another outstanding resource. This time covering the Hungarian Army. A little detail heavy at times. Covers the development of the armed forces after WWI, their campaigns during WW 2 and a detailed OOB during that time frame. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For Croatia and Christ The Croatian Army in World War II 1941-1945 by Antonio Munoz ISBN 1891227335

Japanese Armored Units in World War II by John Underwood ISBN 1585450480 Covers Organization of the Tank and Armor Units, the variety of Japanese AFV and a Campaign and Battle History of the Armor Units. RECOMMENDED!

Armored Vehicles and Units of the German Order Police (Ordnungspolizei) 1936-1945 by Werner Regenberg

Outstanding resource on this arcane subject. Just excellent organizational and operation history of the Order Police who battled partisans throughout the war, their armored vehicles including technical specifications plus OOB information and painting and a whole lot more. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
